MC1 medMarie Clare is responsible for ensuring Columba 1400 reaches as many young people as possible, this is achieved through Columba 1400’s partnerships which focus on developing young people and the key adults in their lives. Through Columba 1400 Leadership Academies, participants gain an understanding of core values which empowers young people and the key adults in their lives to discover their own unique skills and go on to reach their true potential.

 Marie Clare previously worked at Social Ventures Australia (SVA), one of Australia's most successful and respected not for profit organisations. Through her experience and extensive national and international networks she focuses on building strategic partnerships, thereby further strengthening Columba 1400's impact on communities and individuals.

Marie Clare is Chair of the charity SiMBA who provide vital support to bereaved parents affected by the loss of a baby at any stage during pregnancy by creating memories, trees of tranquillity, family rooms and support groups. She also served on The Promise Partnership Advisory Group which is an investment of £4m from Scottish Government intended to deliver change in line with Scotland’s commitment to creating capacity in the care system to #KeepThePromise and provide holistic family support.
