A FINAL FOLLOW UP TO LEJOG AND CARJOG (Carlisle to JOG)

A picture speaks a 1000 words and this is the evidence that we made it. Mike cycled 1057 miles and I covered exactly 501. Alan covered 200 miles in the middle.

Generally, the trip was incident free. Quite a few cars and lorries though didn’t give we cyclists enough overtaking space, but we were never knocked off....thankfully.

The weather was generally fantastic (no rain) from the day I joined the trek, though we did have a couple of cold windy days, particularly the last day when we cycled due east to JOG into an easterly wind. So windy was it, that we had to pedal downhill!!!

The scenery through Scotland is, as we all know, fantastic. At a bicycle pace you can really enjoy the surroundings, so I suggest you do the trip sometime!!!

Finally and most importantly thank you to everyone who has so generously donated to Columba 1400. We are getting close to our £5,000 target.
