Heyy Katie Howlett here from Greenock Academy:D!! Was at Columba about 4 weeks ago...seems like yesterday. Went so quickly I can't belive it! I would just like to thank all the staff at Columba for the life changing experience they gave me. Mostly Ailsa, Stevie and Guy. They helped and made me feel welcome the most but I won't forget the others as they played a big part aswell. Have seen all the pictures on the cd and disturbingly(if thats a word) I can remember everything nearly when i look at them. The chefs were amazing and the malteser cake was the best!! So thanks to everyone and the people I was with because we are all a lot closer after. Looking forward to see what we will achieve. Already had our first meeting. Katie x

I'll write a meaningful message later but I'm just writing to say that in English we were to write a realisation story so I wrote about Columba. I've typed it up and my English teacher suggested I sended it to you as it is "sweet"?! I was just wondering how to send it to you through school.

Going to Columba 1400 was the best experience of my life so far. I enjoyed every moment i was there. And for the staff well..

Just back from Columba, left on Friday 7th :(!

Gutted a had to leavee! :(

Columba 1400 HAS to be the BEST experience of my life so far! The people were brilliant, even if Stevie's jokes sucked at times :)

I mean, even Ailsa started finger-clicking :P

Roxy rocks though, she was our secretary on the Isle of Cnoc :D

Chef's...You do good breakfasts, but whoever made the steak on Thursday 6th cannot make steak...no offense :)

So yeah, see what happens in later life...might end up back there :)

Oh My Its Nearly 2 years (27 November 2006) Since That Huge Gathereing At The Pollock Halls. It Was Amazin To Meet So many People Who Had Shared The Same Experie As Me. It Was Also Soo Good To See Everyone From Skye Again & The Food Was Nice..Wish I Could Do The Whole Thing Again. You Guys Just Made It So Amazing !! Hi everyone, its gerry from the st stephens/pot glasgow high schools trip. Seems like an age ago that I was in skye although I still have many happy memories of my week there. It will never be forgoten!!!! The group are very much still active, we have meeting etc in both schools and are now planning our third presentation to another school from our area which intends to go up to skye. We are also planning to create our own academy for young people in our own area. If any of your team has any suggestions don't hesitate to email us. Its been so long sice we were in skye and I just want to say thanks for all of the memories and skills that I have aquired thanks to columba 1400.

Hi there
!!! wow it'll be about this time last year that we were already getting ready to come on the coourse. I could've never have guessed the way how it would affect me and that it would be one of the best experiences of my life! weanted to write 2 u 2 let u know that I just got back from my third trip to Rwanda - you know - that place that I wouldn't stop going on about? it was absolutely amazin, i thought you guys might like to hear about it so ill tell you. The start of the week was working with church and Street Kids Rescue project - kids the church brought off of the street and are now rehousing, just having lots of fun with them, we gave out a cow at a new project in JAri, visited lots of orphans and survivors of the genocide in their homes, also went to a healing and reconciliation group which was really powerful. Re-visited some projects goin on with Comfort Rwanda.loved it. Some of my best friends are out there. Mi9ssing them so much and only been back 4 a day lol. Sorry to bore you anyway. Missing you still. Thanks for everything you.ve done for me and my friends. Stevie, Guy Rhoda, LAura, Anne (John as well - the outdoors guy) and everyone else at the team. now going 4 eco flag @ Kilsyth Academy and almost all of the original team are on the board, so we're still going for it lol. Sammy doing an english talk on you all as well. we've agreed that we'll both come back and see you again during our gap year so please let us know if thats ok :>. Anyway see you soon. lots of love

I am 3 month and 1 week and really glad that i saw my baby for the first time on the ultra sound on the 20th it is really healthy and is massive lol cant wait till i go for my 20 week scan in 7 weeks ! Hey there team remember me i graduated on 25th may 2007 i thought all of you guys vvere amazing. I know i have already writen but i miss you all so much. Can not wait to get the cd of all our pictures and i was wondering if you could send me a copy of the music you had been playing all week. Just want to say thanks again for the best week of my life and will always keep in touch.

i would also like to say how all of my friends have noticed a diference in me since i got back and i have already started to talk to people in my school that i hardly ever spoke to before.
I have also started eating the food from the school canteen but it still isn't as good as the food the chefs prepared for us when we were there.
Had the time of my life and i know the rest have too.
Lisanne, gavin,Hannah, Emma and sarai are acting alot more confident now but i havn't seen the ones from st stephens yet to tell a difference. will hopefully met up by the end of the week.

I went to Columba on th 11th to the 16th of May 2008.
it was a blast and i made hundreds of new friends.
The staff i met were Stevie, Guy, Roxy(bad cat joke), Laura Gordon, Bill and John. it was the best experience i have ever had. Food was amazing. Thanks guys and can not wait to see you again.

Starting From Next Us Columba Graduates Are Doing A Primary School Project "Going For Gold" To Try And Get Pupils Interested In Exercise And Keeping A Good Healthy Body. We Will Be Going Round In Various Groups On Our Own To Every Signed Up Primary School In Aberdeen Making Them Aware And Taking Part In Activities. We Are Using Our Skills Over The Next Couple Of Months And Also Will Be Taking Part In Other Projects All The Way Up To The End Of 6th Year. Thanks Crew! xxxxxxxx

hiya everyone at columba, Iona here (Fraserburgh Academy)We are all really excited as Anne is coming tomorrow !!! Can't wait. So far we have trained the S2 peer supporters, done a week of assemblies, trained the TEACHERS on an inservice day and are looking forward to training the new S1 peer suporters and afterschool workshops with the teachers. I still can't stop thinking about Columba! It has been nearly 6 months but I use all of the skills you guys taught me everyday!! I just want to say a great big thanks to you all (again!) so thankyou to Ann, Willie, Laura, Guy, Elaine and Stevie and alos Tiegan (Bendougus) for everything. Hi everyone up at Columba. I was sitting at work today & suddenly the thought of Columba came back to me so I thought I would come on & sign the guestbook for old times sake - was actually checkin out the website we made when we got back too. It's been around 2 years since we came up from Castlemilk High/St Margaret Mary's and I still use my leadership skills every day. I think going to the academy helped me realise a lot things about myself & others. It showed em that I have good potential & qualities that I should use everyday & it also helped me gain more confidence. I also spent time around people I wouldn't have normally socialised at school with and it showed me how nice people from different backgrounds can be even although they may not be similar to you and although i'm not at school anymore I still loving using my Columba knowledge & cherish all of my memorie from up there with you guys. I'm now working in a Business Development team with Glasgow City Council as part of Economic & Social Initiatives and I love it. I've been here for over a year and I find working life very good..! Thanks again for everything guys, still missin the lot of you & dying to come up to Skye again - I miss the view..! x

Hi all at Coluba 1400, It's been a long time. i first to the centre with GEDC back in 2002, and took part in the big per launch with princess Anne in E-house. How time flies I have since went on to complete a HND in both Sports & holistic theapy and I've now moved to England where I have just set up my own Holistic therapy service. I learnt lot from the sessions that I went Both the 1st part and the 'old Gemini Programme'I hope that All new particpant get as much out of the project as I have. I would love to give something back to te projec as I wotk in stress management, It would be great to give new participant a workshop on managing negative effects of stress. It would be great to hear back from the gang. i have some photos of the Students from Colubia Uni, and the boss sing the Broccoli song!!(was it called the broccoli song ??

Hiya Columba 1400!!!
First of all....HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I turned 15 on the 11th of January and everyone from Columba went on a night out to celebrate!! Even though i tumbled down the stairs on the way in, i still managed to have a great time, even if i was a bit dazed for the first 1/2 an hour!!!!!! Training the S2 peer supporters tomorrow with the rest of the Ninja Sheep Brochers, so i am really looking forward to it!

Hey Its Nicole From Kilsyth Academy I Was Up In October/November Just Like To Say I Had A Great Time..And Miss It Lots. Since We've Came Home We Haven't Stopped Working.
