Fair Work Statement
Columba 1400 is committed to the principles of the Scottish Government’s Fair Work First policy and to creating a workplace where people are valued, supported and able to thrive.
This commitment supports our purpose: enabling young people, especially those from tough realities, and the key adults in their lives to lead lives of meaning, contribution and purpose.
Our commitment to Fair Work also reflects our Columban values of Awareness, Focus, Creativity, Integrity, Perseverance and Service, which shape how we work together and support one another.
Our approach is guided by the five dimensions of Fair Work: effective voice, opportunity, security, fulfilment and respect.
We pay all team members at least the Real Living Wage. We provide opportunities for team members and volunteers to contribute ideas, share feedback and help shape decisions through open dialogue, regular engagement and collaborative ways of working.
We invest in learning and development, support flexible working wherever possible, and are committed to creating an inclusive, respectful and supportive environment where people can develop their potential and feel a genuine sense of belonging.
