Earlier this year, we were delighted to welcome a group of student leaders from Texas Christian University (TCU) who travelled over 4,000 miles to the Isle of Skye to take part our Values-Based Leadership Academy. They were inspiring to be alongside as we witnessed their growth, determination, and teamwork throughout the experience.

In a recent blog post shared by TCU, the students reflect on their time in Staffin and how the experience challenged and transformed their understanding of leadership.

Through reflective sessions, outdoor challenges, and honest conversations, the group explored our core values of awareness, focus, creativity, integrity, perseverance, and service and began to see how those values could shape their own lives and work.

Eric Shepherd, one of the students, reflected: “Scotland emphasized for me that leadership starts with relationships. It’s about those authentic connections with others…Whether we were pushing through challenging hikes or sharing vulnerable conversations, those moments taught me how meaningful relationships are to achieving any goal.”

We are honoured to have hosted the TCU team at our Centre in Staffin and grateful for the stories, insights, and energy they brought to the experience.
